*nocomment*

Really. What have I been doing these whole months? It seems like I have no time to write anything whatsoever... I didn't really lose the motivation to take a photo, but it seems like I have a really hard time on posting those pictures to the internet. Meh, probably because I'm too lazy? *shrugs*

Anyways, I'm on my final exam weeks, so don't expect much, even after I post this blog. I really, really hope I could still continue to post atmospheric optic photos in this blog... Let's hope that's going to be the result after the exams were done. :/

Oh, and by the way, I still haven't post the photos of the two incredible sightings yet. I'll make sure those two will be my priorities after I'm done with everything! See you later! :D

Another One

And, this is the last post before I'm going to made the one post about one day of sighting! Well, believe it or not, make it two post of two sightings! I've got two (yes, two) incredible sightings this week alone. Bandung sure is on a roll this week... Hopefully I could get some more incredible sightings before I went back to Sentul. Better yet, can these incredible sightings be seen in Sentul? I haven't had much luck on getting a halo sighting there, really.

I really didn't have much to say on what I'm going to post here though, so... There are five days of sightings that are going to be uploaded here, but none of them are quite that special. Probably because I feel the two sightings that I mentioned earlier really overwhelmed me? :D

There aren't much that I could say... Somehow I'm out of words right now. Probably because I'm sleepy...
Well, enjoy the photos anyway!

Back to Business

I've just came back to Bandung about a week ago, but already, a flurry of sightings have already been seen...  4 sightings out of 7 days stay, is not what you're going to call a barren week at all. It's also been unusually very cold in Bandung in the one-week I came back here, with temperatures reaching 15 degrees celsius in the nights/mornings, at least according to my cell phone's weather forecast app anyway. The temperature had just come back up in final few days, reaching more normal temperatures (from what my body felt).

Continuing from my final post, there are 13 sightings that still needs to be posted. Some of them are actually captured in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, since I did my family vacation there for a week. I also found that a sighting is pretty common over there, getting 4 sightings in a span of 8 days, which means a sighting every 2 days or so.

I'm planning to do 3 posts, including this one, and one of the post will be dedicated to my last sighting - on 5th of August - since it's what I thought to be one of my most - no - THE most extraordinary sighting! I'll let you decide on that, after I post that sighting. Problem is, I don't know when I will post that. :p

So here it is, another week worth of halo sighting. Enjoy!

29th June sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo, on board PK-GFL en route to KUL

3rd July sighting of a 22-degree radius halo and a faint circumscribed halo at Kuala Lumpur

6th July sighting of a 22-degree radius halo at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

17th July sighting of a 22-degree radius halo at Cisitu, Bandung

And there it goes! I hope you enjoy reading it, see you on my next post!

Aaaaannddd . . .

At last! I could find some time to upload the photos! Phew, that's quite some time (more than a month, to be precise). Damn, I don't know why I couldn't dedicate some of my time for this silly blog. There aren't a lot of blog documenting these beautiful natural phenomenon (in Indonesia... I think), so I have to try to keep this blog up!

Now, here are some of my sightings - dating back to 12th of May! That's quite some time. I'll upload it here gradually though, probably one week worth of halos per post... It is becoming a common thing really, the sightings at Bandung, but not so much at Sentul (where my home is). The barren week was when I was at Sentul, and once I came back to Bandung the number of sightings came up again... *sigh...* Well, enjoy the photos for now!

Sorry . . .

Hi guys! I'm very sorry for the long update... Truth is I almost (always) forgot that I got a blog that needs to get updated every once in a while... And for the other part is, one : my internet; and two : it's been a barren week (again). Well, that's mostly either because I didn't see the halo that was there, or... there's no halo after all. My last halo sighting was on June 9th, when I'm spotting with my friends at the airport, but I couldn't take a picture of it since my friend prevented me from taking the picture. Ah, well... That's what friends are for... :p

Since my last post, there are 7 documented sightings (the June 9th didn't count), and so I'm going to post the picture on my other post later... Until then, happy hunting everyone!

Quite Some Wait . . .

It's been quite a long time since I last post. Yes, it really had been a barren week of halos, following last week... I only saw one halo in space of more than a week since my last sighting. But right after then, I got one straight week of halos! What a week... So it turns out it's not that bad of a week at all, isn't it?

The sightings was on 23rd April, and then from 3rd to 9th May straight, although I think the 7th & 8th May are actually not that different, since I saw the 7th May sighting on about 10PM, then the 8th was on the next morning (about 00.30AM). Almost all of them are the 22-degree radius or circumscribed halo, after I read on atoptics that the circular halo on midday is not always the 22-degree, although there's one where I could clearly see both arcs (on 7th). I also asked them about my 9th April sighting, and they said that it seems to be both a 22-degree radius and circumscribed. I've got a lot to learn...

So, here are the photos of the sightings... Enjoy!

23rd April sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo

3rd May sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo

4th May sighting of a 22-degree radius halo

5th May sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo

6th May sighting of a 22-degree radius halo

7th May sighting of a 22-degree radius and a circumscribed halo/upper tangent arc

8th May sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo

9th May sighting of a 22-degree radius/circumscribed halo

I also planned to make a post about the latest supermoon phenomenon, happening on 5th-6th May... Well for now, thank you for reading my post!
